Are There Any Side Effects Of Taking Metpure XL ?

Dear Doctor,Have been having problem of depression for some three months. Taking tablets - Nexitol & Lexotanil as advised by my doctor. Recently when I went for a regular check-up the doctor informed that my heart beat had become fast and prescribed - metpure - xl 25. is it advisable to take these tablets and what are the side effects ? please advise.

you are depressed and for that u have been prescribed the benzodiazepin bromazepam and antidepressant escitalopram.. so these meds are appropriate for your diagnosis of depression. i dont know why u are given the metoprolol which is a cardioselective beta blocker. if your heartbeat is fast due to anxiety then there is no need of metoprolol, but if u have some problems with your heart then u shud consult your doctor about the reason why u have been given metoprolol. i dont know u have undergone echocardiography or not... if not then go for it..for anxiety propranolol is better option than metoprolol. so i ll suggest u shud confirm the reason why u r given metoprolol and change the medications accordingly...
