Are There Any Supplements That Help In Reducing The Hypertension?

I am struggling with hypertension. I do not have health insurance so I cannot afford to go to a doctor for help. Plus I really do not like taking any kind of medication. Unless it is in a natural form. I have been searching online to try to get answers. But at this stage of my problem would consider taking medications to help. Is their any kind of supplement, pills I can order online to help with my hypertension? I am 65, overweight, and take my pressure at home this is how I know I have a blood pressure problem. I know to change my diet, and exercise. I m a caregiver and am always helping others and am very bad at taking care of myself. I work 24 s four days a week. Thank you in advance. AJB

Hi welcome to hcm
I understand your query and concern.
Hypertension is a chronic disorder once diagnosed should be treated immediately.Drugs like Telmesartan will be helpful to control your blood pressure.I also advise you to monitor your blood pressure regularly.Hypertension if left untreated leads to complications like ischemic stroke in the brain and heart. So start taking medication by discussing with your doctor. Also get investigations like ECG,2D Echo, lipid profile,hs CRP immediately. Also get complete cardiac examination by consulting your doctor.Restrict your salt intake to less than 6 gm per day.Avoid smoking and alcohol.Consul your cardiologist for expert management.
Post your further queries if any,
Thank you.
