Are There Any Treatments For Allergies To Paracetamol?
Are there any treatments for allergies to paracetamol? My eyes, hands and neck swell and I have trouble breathing whenever I take any medication with the slightest trace of paracetamol. Whenever I'm in pain I have to choose if I want those side effects or to stick out the pain. Help!!!!
The main aspect of treatment would be to avoid using it.
If you continue to use it then the allergy response would worsen. If you accidentally use it then the use of an antihistamine would help to reduce your reaction.
There are other pain killers in a different family of drugs that you can use eg ibuprofen, aspirin, cataflam, naproxen Because these are not related to paracetamol, there is no risk of cross reaction.
I hope this helps
