Are There Any Withdrawal Side Effects Of Rivotril?
Hello just wanted to know how to get off nerve pill like rivitril?.Its a drug that was discovered in England over a 100 years so i just want to know if i can get off it /I'm down to 3 pills a day.Iwas taking it for at least 20 years.I am taking 2 pills each time 3 times a day but i just stop and only taking 3 now.
I can understand your concern. Rivotril is Clonazepam and the drug is a benzodiazepine drug. The drug is a brain depressant drug and the drug help to relax individual. If the drug is stopped abruptly after regular prolonged intake then withdrawal syndrome occurs. So it is advised to reduce the doses of drug gradually over 6-10 weeks. Doses should be reduced by 20-25% every two weeks. You are at 3 tabs per day and have successfully tapered the doses. In my opinion if you are finding it difficult to reduce the doses further then visit a doctor for treatment. Drugs like Gabapentine, Pregabalin can be used for management of withdrawal symptoms. Try to remain relaxed and do relaxation exercises to keep yourself relaxed. Visit a psychiatrist for prescription of these drugs.
Thanks, I hope this helps you.
Take care
