Are There Chances Of Getting Pregnant Having Missed The Contraceptive Pills And Had Unprotected Sex And The Periods Was Brown Discharge?

In advance I m sorry this is so long! Okay so, I missed 4 of my birth control pills last week and had unprotected sex the second day missed pill (and he finished inside me). On Friday I started to bleed red like a normal period and by Saturday night it was brown discharge mixed with dark red. Today it s only brown discharge. I feel pregnant, am bloated, kind of irritable, and am experiencing some kind of heartburn or something in my lower chest in the morning. As well as feeling more tired than usual. I took 4 hpt, 3 came out neg, 1 came out pos. IF I m pregnant I figured out with an app that I d be 3 weeks today if I have the right date from my last period. My question is, is it too early for me to test and that s why I m getting negatives or is the symptoms I m having mean I m most likely pregnant?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Protocol states that when 1 dose of the pill is missed you may take 2 doses the next day as you will still be protected. But if you miss two doses, you should immediately discontinue the pill and initiate another form of contraception immediately, as you will not be protected.

So based on your description you do have a chance for pregnancy. But other than pregnancy other causes could be a hormonal imbalance from the discontinuation of the birth control, infections from the sexual contact, etc. Once pregnancy is ruled out, these causes should be considered.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
