Are These Tests Reliable After Having Unsafe Sex?
Hi i had a unprotected intercourse on 12 march n den i tested on 6th April hiv rna pcr test and HIV IV generation duo test from metropolis... Both cme negative so i wanted to know any further test to be done as metropolis ppl sayin dis test is reliable bt i hav loads of anxiety

I understand your concern
HIV PCR RNA test and HIV IV generation duo test is high sensitive/accurate and give positive result within 2-3 week after sexula intercourse.
WHO recommends to test again after 90 days of exposure.
The 4th generation test or DUO test gives almost 95 to 99 % effectiveness.
So if you are very bothersome then again go for DUO test.
Metroplis lab is major lab and you can trust its result.
Avoid stress and be relax.
You can also take doxyclycine for week to cover the infection.
