Hello,

Whenever there is an injury to head followed by vomiting, its advisable to take your child to a neurologist.

First of all, children can not explain everything they feel the way adults do on getting hurt, sometimes they are not aware of the symptoms they have.

So its better to take him to the doctor. Secondly, you said his pupils are dilated which is normal and can be seen in different medical conditions especially on head injury (concussion).

Whenever a patient comes to me with such injury and symptoms even though he appears normal.

Do a complete physical examination and next thing if there is need of some imaging studies like CAT scan, it should be performed with a neurologist’s advice.

So take your kid to the doctor and follow his advice. Its always better to be sure and clear of your doubts than having a doubt non-stop.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
