Are Trouble Getting A Deep Breath And Chest Discomfort Symptoms Of COPD?

I am 40, I smoke approx 3 a day, I recently have had a feeling that I can t get a fully breath, but have had this in the past, I also have chest discomfort, my doctor did an ecg, heart echo which were normal, my chest X-ray showed slightly enlarged lungs, but no damage!!! he has arranged for a lung function test, my mother and aunt have copd, what my chances of not having copd??

I really appreciate your concern, some time this could be due to smoking and if this is associated with the allergic condition then symptoms would be more trouble some, this could be self limiting, just stop the smoking and have some steam inhalation, no need to worry about this, hope this is helps, take care and have a nice day.
