Are Tubes Necessary For Frequent Ear Infections?

in need of advice! my son has had a ton of ear infections and is in desperate need of tubes we have been referred to the ENT Center in Macon and was told he needed tubes asap! but we have been given the run around for two weeks for us to even be given a surgery date. now we have finally got a date and the soonest it cant be done is the 27th of Feb. this is a problem because his ears are now so bad that we cant even wait until the 27th we need them done NOW! or else he will have hearing damage PLEASE parents who have children who did yall go to and how long did they take before surgery?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello!
please calm down!
hearing loss will not be permanent if it is just due to fluid accumulation and i think there is no harm in waiting till 27.
please have patience, he will be alright soon!
Thanks
