Are Unintentional Weight Loss And Loss Of Appetite Symptoms Of Colon Cancer?

I have had colon cancer 2 times. The last time, I was told that if I had to undergo surgery again, I would probably have to have a colposcopy(?). ( the bag) The surgeons said that they cut 8 off one end the first time and 9 off the other end the second time. I am having the same problems again - weight loss (55 lbs loss in 9 months and no appetite), just not wanting to eat - but after blood tests etc. all other vitals are fine. Current dr. wants a colon screen, but I am afraid because of what the last dr. told me about the bag

Hello,

Consult a gastroenterologist and get evaluated. Do a colonoscopy to look for any mass or tumor in the colon. You can also go for tumor markers like CEA.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
