Every night for the past couple of months, my ears fill with fluid. For the past 6 months I have had some ear problem off and on (fluid and ears closing), but especially for the past couple of months. I don t have much pain at all, but every night light clockwork they fill up with this clear fluid. If I sleep on my side, it will drain out of my ear. Could me be overweight have anything to do with this? I have gained some weight in the past 6 months. I also have a fuller face, so I m wondering if putting extra weight on contricts my ears in any way? It s getting quite annoying!

Are Weight Gain And Fluid Filled Ear Related?
Hello, Your symptoms could be related to an outer ear infection or an increased ear wax. As there is no pain, there is no need to worry about it. I don t think that this is related to your body weight. Anyway, I recommend consulting with an ENT specialist for a physical exam. Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr. Ilir Sharka
