General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

If both the T3 and T4 are normal then the weight gain and hair loss are not likely related to your thyroid. Hair loss can be due to different possible causes such as: infection of the scalp, physical illness or trauma, surgery, anemia, side effect of medication, heart or kidney disease. In some persons, the exact cause is not known. You may need to be reviewed by your doctor to find the cause of these symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.

Regards,
