Are White Vaginal Discharge And Bloating Symptoms Of Pregnancy?

Hi this may be a stupid question but i want to know if im pregnant or overreacting. I really cant be pregnant because my parents will kill me. I feel a little stupid asking this question since ive googled it before and people said it wasnt possible but i just want to know from a doctor. Anyway last week (about august 27th) my boyfriend came over and fingered me and im not sure if he touched himself before and semen got inside of me, but ive seen online that if he had some on his hands then touched me i could get pregnant, so now im worrying, then i noticed that i got a whiteish discharge but i usually get that before my period comes and its suppose to come in about 5 days, but im irregular so im really not sure. Then a few days later i went to his house and he fingered me and gave me oral, i was naked and he had his penis out but we didnt have sex and his penis wasnt near me, i got the same whiteish discharge again the next day, i havent had the whiteish discharge and its been a week, ive looked up pregnancy signs and i dont have any but now im gassy and bloated and im not sure if its my period coming or if im pregnant. Im not sure if thats enough information but id like to know if youd think im pregnant or not. I already know the risks of STDs and i know that both me and him are STD free.

Hello, and I hope I can help you today.

Any woman who is having unprotected intercourse is at risk for pregnancy. However, you cannot conceive unless your boyfriend had some direct contact with your genital area with his penis or that he ejaculated inside the vaginal opening. Sperm dies when exposed to air, so you cannot get pregnant unless there is a good deal of wet semen introduced into your vagina.

In addition, pregnancy symptoms vary widely between women, and many of the symptoms we usually associate with pregnancy like bloating, breast tenderness, nausea, fatigue, spotting and mood changes can happen in cases of hormonal imbalances as well as pregnancy.

It is also normal to have white discharge at any time in your cycle as long as it doesn't itch or have odor. It is also not unusual to see increased vaginal discharge the next day or two after arousal or sexual activity

The most common (and reliable) sign of pregnancy is missing your period.

So, if you are not yet due for your period, I suggest you wait until it is due, and at that time if you are late, perform a urine pregnancy test if you still have concerns. A pregnancy test will only become positive at least 3 weeks after conception.

I hope I was able to adequately answer your question today and that my advice was helpful.

Best wishes,

Dr. Brown
