Are Wrist Veins Usually Black In Color?

I had dicompression of median nerve and exploration of radial nerve in my right hand 8 days ago, last night my bandage came undone in my sleep apon inspection of my wound I noticed the veins in my iside wrist are black is this normal it just looks different to bruising.
