As I Was Getting Things Out Of The Back Seat

As I was getting things out of the back seat of my car, I got in the inside of my wrist. When I looked at it the vein looks very swollen and blue. I is painful to the touch and there is a dull pain in the wrist and in my hand at the bottom of the palm closest to the wrist. Did I just strain my wrist as I was pulling things from the car in an awkward position or could it be more serious? Should I visit a dr?
