At Menopausal Stage. Ultrasound Done. Seen Lymph Nodes In Internal Illiac. Stool Normal. Blood Sugar Lightly High. Recommendations?
Hello Doctor, My mom is 54 and is menopausal and consulted a Gyn due to minor symptoms. the doctor said, its no cause for concern and is normal to have periods once in a few months before it stops completely. Gyn advised a ultrasound pelvic scan just to be sure nothing is wrong. The report came clean for the uterus but lymph nodes in the internal illiac is enlarged largest being 4 Cms. We consulted a surgeon and he tested my mom and he could not feel the swollen lymph at all and he adviced She goes for a CT scan. Could the Ultrasound report be wrong. what could be causes of lymph nodes enlargement and my mom doesnt have any physical distress and her stool is normal and weight seems normal. her blood sugar level is slightly high, nothing of a major concern. I am terrified of the lymph node enlargement. please help!
Hi, As she is examined by gynaec and done ultra sound and nothing abnormal found in genital tract so nothing to worry. Enlarged lymph nodes might be non specific and might not have any importance. But to be on safe side go for CT scan to rule out other pathology in abdomen. Ok and bye.
