Ate Soup And Vomited Then Feels Dizziness And Nauseous. Headache, Any Medications To Feel Better?

Hello, last night I ate some soup from subway. Not ten minutes after eating it did I start to feel extremely dizzy and nauseous. Maybe ten minutes later I threw up the soup and only the soup, prior to eating the soup I had a regular dinner (potatoes, green beans, and steak) but I didn't throw that up. After throwing up I immediately started to feel better but I was still dizzy and nauseous. I waited out two hours, taking sips of water, before taking a tums and going to bed. Everything seemed better this morning until I started to move around again. I still currently feel slightly dizzy and slightly nauseous, only now I have a really bad headache. Is there anything I can do to feel better?
Thank you,
A

Welcome to HCM!

I have gone through your question and from my clinical experience it seems that you had food poisoning (milder form) from what you had outside home.

I don't think you need to worry much as what ever you had had been out with vomiting and now the little absorbed in your body is causing these symptoms.
Had I been treating you I would ask you some blood test- liver function, kidney function and blood counts, an ultra sound abdomen and ECG (if you are too worried about your symptoms) and give you a course of antibiotics, like cefpodoxime 200 mg twice a day with some antacid like Omeprazole and domperidone.

These medicine will definitely take care of the remaining infection and you will become fine. As you have dizziness, please take adequate water/ liquids, and for headaches, aceclofenac tablet is found to be quite effective, can be taken once or twice a day. Taking how made soft diet is going to make you fine.

Just to tell you- in order to remain healthy when eating out of home, it is better to eat cooked stuffs and avoid raw food items, like curd, sauces, and salads. these are the main cause of infection mostly!

Hope the answer helps you. keep well!
