Ate Unripped Cherries, Swollen Lump Starting At The Mid Part Of Ear, Going Down To The Back Of Jaw. Should I Rush To The Doctor?

I ate some cherries and they were not ripe so it felt like I squeezed a lemon in my mouth it was so sour. But instead of the sour feeling and the clinched jaw loosening up...I have a swollen lump starting at the mid part of my ear, going down to the back of my jaw. If feels like tension is there, but why so swollen? Should I rush to the doctor or wait until tomorrow?

Hello,
Jaw loosening as well as swelling refers to tmj dislocation or tenderness.
I would advice you to get a thorough clinical evaluation by an oral surgeon.
X-ray of the affected area will reveal the condition underlying.
Meanwhile,jaws has to be immobilised.
Dislocated condyles has to be approximated with splinting.
Intermaxillary fixation has to be done.
Take analgesics along with muscle relaxants.
Avoid intake of allergic foods.
TAKE CARE.
