Back Of Head Hurting Bad. What Could Be The Problem?

The other day, I was at an outing with friends, laughing and having a good time and the back of my head was hurting bad, not the whole back, two sides in the back, kind of in an oval type of area. I forgot about it till this morning when I was listening to the radio and smiled because of what was being said and it happened again. Really painful

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear,

The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be due to:
1. Migraine
2. Cluster headache
3. Tension headache
4. Any intra-cranial lesion
5. Underlying systemic cause like Hypertension, etc.

Though symptomatic relief can be obtained with analgesics, their regular use is not advised owing to unwanted side effects.
And unless the underlying cause is treated, the symptom will keep recurring.

So, kindly consult your Physician & get a proper clinical examination done.
Investigations like estimation of blood pressure levels, complete blood count, CT scan of brain will be helpful.

Similar symptoms can also be caused due to different refractive powers in both the eyes.
So, kindly get your refractive power tested.

There is no need to worry, you will be fine.
Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
