Back Pain, Brown Spotting, Cramping In Lower Abdomen. Suffering From PCOS. Ovarian Cysts Getting Worse?

hi..i have recently been diagnosed wid PCOS..i m on glucophage 1500mg for 2 months now. i have developed lower back pain and i noticed brown colored spotting on the 13th day of my cycle. the spotting lasted for 5 days. it wasnt much. but i m worried abt the back pain n little off and on cramping in the lower abdomen.. please tell me if my ovarian cysts might be getting worser? my cycle is usally of 32 days..n its mostly regular n on time..i have been married for 4 months now

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
The bleeding you had could be ovulatory bleeding, that can be seen in some women due to hormonal effect.
Pain also can be seen during ovulation due to causes like irritation of peritoneum, stretching of ligaments etc.

Sometimes ovarian cysts can also lead to pain abdomen.
If you are having suspicion about it, better to go for ultrasound once.
