HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Your symptoms are in keeping with an upper respiratory tract infection. These are usually viral.

Because these infections can involve the nasal passages, sinuses, throat and ears, alot of different symptoms can occur. It is possible to have discomfort in the ear due to abnormal function of the eusthacian tube as a result of an acute viral illness.

In some cases however persons may have a bacterial infection along with the viral illness.
If the pain in your ear is severe, you may want to be assessed to rule out a bacterial infection.

I hope this helps
