Bartholin Abscess, Echogenic And Vascular Focal Area, Lesion. Done Sonography Of Pelvis. Treatment?
my age is 38, wt is 66 ,i had I and D of left bartholin abscess done on 14-08-2013.then on 28-08-2013,did my sonographic evaluation of pelivs . there is an ill defined ,mildly echogenic and vascular,focal area measuring 2.3x1.7cms . there is a large well defined ,thick walled tubular configurated,anechoic focal lesion measuring 5.2x1.9cm &showing mucosal infoding notted within the right adnexa,favours right hydrosalpinx. pls tell what is the treatment and is it serious .
The only permanent cure of bartholincyst is surgical intervention.
The cyst is opened and contents drained.
This is called as marsupulization.
Its not a major procedure and can be easily performed.
Please meet a gynaecologist.
