hi my boyfriend had a semen analysis test done and i have the results here. they say motility : 31% rapid progression: 18% slow progression: 13% non progression : 11% immotile :51% sperm concerntration : 6.175 million total count : 18.52 million normal forms 2%
is this bad? does he have to be treated before i can get clomid?
hello user - normally semen analysis interpretation should be based on after atleast 2 tests done with six weeks interval and sample given after about 2 days of abstinence - so he should get it repeated as the report suggests that he is having a low sperm count ( atleast 20 million should have been there ) - normal forms should be atleast more than 4 % , and motility is low - atleast 50 % should have been motile , so it is advisable to get him consulted with any fertility specialist for evaluation and treatment .however that does not mean that you should or should not get treatment - your decision should be based again with specialist's opinion- hope i answered your query - if satisfied please rate the answer
