Being An Alcoholic, What Could Sudden Blackout And Dizziness Indicate?

I was sitting here working on the computer and all of a sudden my head felt really full and I felt like I blacked out for a minute. I actually grabbed my desk to keep from falling out of my chair. I am an alcoholic, or diagnosed as a problem drinker and work on the computer for my job ten hours a day.

Hi,

Sudden black out and dizziness would require evaluation with at least a CT scan of the brain. It can be due to a compromise in the blood supply of the brain which was transient. If you were sober and healthy when this happened, then it does not appear to be directly related. But please keep in mind that alcohol worsens cardiovascular disease.

Best wishes.
