Being Diabetic, Why Is My Mom's Foot Swollen And Pus Filled

HI, my mom aged 55 has diabetes for the past 16yrs, but now for last one month her right toe was swollen to some extent, now that swollen area is filled with white pus which has red dots in it.

Please clarify the siituation and the action to be taken.

dear sir i understand your concern.pls go to a surgeon who is having experience in dealing with diabetic foot.diabeteic foot is leading cause of amputations in world.you are seeing pus and swollen toe it may be in its inertial stage.if bone gets infection then it will be really difficult .ask talk to your doc to start insulin respective of her sugar levels.....regards
