a high school student was given a 'brownie' by another student; he did not know the 'brownie' was containing marijuana (seems it was not natural but synthetic); what is best procedure to flush out of body and how long does the effect persist in system?

Though the active effects of marijuana last only for a few hours after intake, the drug can take a while to get completely metabolized and excreted from the system. Unrine drug tests can detect the drug for 7 to 10 days after the last intake.

There is no effective method to "flush out" the drug from the system as it will take its own time to be metabolized and excreted. If a person has other medical problems like liver problems, kidney problems, etc. then it may take longer for the drug to get completely eliminated.
