Bilateral Popliteal Cysts Can Cause Stasis? No Relief After Taking Warfarin

Hi. I am a ultrasound tech and about a month ago felt an aching in my legs and found some very slow flow in the veins below my calf - bilateral. No occlusive clot, but definitely stasis. I have since found bilateral popliteal cysts (presumed)..and am assuming this is the cause of stasis. I have never had a knee injury. After over a month of warfarin... still appears unchanged. what next?

If there is stasis it will not improve with Warfarin. If you are worried, then you should confirm sonologically whether it is there or not? Also, is there any family history of Thormbosis or Ischemia? You could get a Thrombophilia profile done. Anyway, i have never treated venous stasis per se. Treatment is required for Thrombosis if it occurs. There is no reason to believe that you will get thrombosis ultimately so dont worry. Take care and let me know the results, I can guide you further along. Take care,
