Black Heads On Underarms Since Years, Remedy For Treatment?

i have recurring black heads on my underarms. they come back even if i have squeezed them. the head is black and the body is white and a bit hard. some have been there for years!! but always seem to come back in the same spot. i have indentations on my armpits where they tend to hide and reform. how do i get rid of these? since their under my arms, i can t use 2 hands to squeeze them so using 2 fingers is just not enough??

Hi,

Instead of squeezing a blackhead out, it is much more effective to tackle the main cause of the blackheads. Therefore, the best way to prevent and remove blackheads is by following a thorough cleansing procedure, which would help wash away the excessive oil and the accumulation of dead cells from the skin.
To make the cleansing process more effective, it is best to exfoliate your skin gently, which will keep the dead cells and black heads away.

Take following simple steps to deal with blackheads.
1] Wash under your arms at least twice a day with a washcloth and mild cleanser. Clean the area well after exercising.
2] Product containing benzoyl peroxide or salicylic aced are known to help blackhead removal. If the cream causes more irritation, discontinue use.
3] Use a hypoallergenic deodorant. Any type of irritation can lead to clogged pores and blackheads, this includes dermatitis from deodorant. If the blackheads increase with a particular type of product, change until you find one better tolerated by your skin.
4] Put a hypoallergenic body powder under your arms to absorb oil. Over production of oil can cause clogs in pores. Powder under the arms will absorb the oil and should reduce problems
5] If applicable to you follow this step as well. Apply a filmy shaving cream under the arms before using a razor. Use the cream liberally. Shave with a single-bladed, disposable razor and change the razor each time. Double-bladed razors damage the surface layer of skin and can lead to blackheads.

Take care.
Best regards,
Dr. Neelam.
