Bleeding Even After Polyp Removal. Will Body Eventually Seal Removed Area?
Hi, I had a polyp removed on June 6 and i'm am still bleeding as of June 20. Doctor packed it in the office to prevent bleeding but I guess that did not seal the area where the polyp was removed. Would my body eventually seal the area or does the doctor need to seal again with a more potent solution? I am going back in a week to see the doctor but I'm just trying to get an idea if this can be resolved on it's own or if a doctor must be seen in order to stop the bleeding.
Usually after removal of polyp the bleeding will subside in 2 to 3 days. But as you are having continuous bleeding for two weeks, better to consult gynecologist once get examined to find out the cause. Sometimes antifibrinolytic tablets can help in decreasing the bleeding. But if there is any injury to the blood vessel that may need suturing. So if possible consult your doctor early.
