Hello,
Thanks for writing to us

Although oral bleeding can occur for a variety of reasons, the most common cause for this type of event is periodontal (gum) disease. Because this is the most likely reason for your bleeding, this is what you should investigate first.

I recommend that you schedule an appointment with your dentist so that it may be determined whether you have periodontal disease. If there is any question, your general dentist may wish to refer you to a periodontist (gum specialist) for a more aggressive diagnostic session. If gum disease is found to be present, an appropriate treatment plan can be prescribed; if not, then you can be referred back to your medical doctor to explore the possibility of other non-dental causes.

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.

Hi,
From history it seems that this bleeding might be due to some problem in his mouth like bleeding gums, heavily tartered teeth, some ulcers in the mouth etc.
Consult oral surgeon and get examined.
If mouth is clear then further investigations should be carried out.
Ok and take care.
