Bleeding, Loss Of Mucus Plug After Stretch And Sweep During Pregnancy. Will I Be In Labor Soon?

Hi
I am 37weeks, 5 days pregnant. My gynae did a stretch and sweep day before yesterday without informing what exactly she would be doing, she said she would check me internally to which I gave my consent.. Immediately I bled (dark color blood) and last night I lost my mucus plug which was brown in color. Wil I be I labour soon?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The stretch and sweep are done to induce labour.
These two procedures stretch and cause rupture of the 'bag of waters'.
Once the bag of water ruptures, there is gush of amniotic fluid, loss of mucus plug and/ or bleeding.
Soon you will go into labour.
The period of gestation is appropriate for the onset of labour.
thanks and take care
