Bleeding Of Nose.
it happened that one day in the morning my kid came to me running he had blood running from his nose.he did not fall.he did not have any injury to his nose.we rushed to emergency room. there they pinched the nose and put some cloth in the nose. all investigation was normal. they said that a blood vessel is responsible for this bleed. now it is happening frequently. cant that blood vessel be removed?

Dear rita Hello I am Dr Ravinder Sharma ENT surgeon. Spontaneous nose bleed in a small child can be because of a variety of causes. Your kid will need ENT consultation to come down to a cause of nose bleed. It can be because of a cause in nose, back of nose or because of the problem in clood clotting or because of the problem with the blood vessels. Complete ENT and Paediatric evaluation will be required and some blood tests and nasal endoscopy will help in the diagnosis. Once a diagnosis is made it can be treated accordingly I hope this answers your concern. with regards Ravinder Sharma

Donot worry even my son had the same problem. He used to frequnetly had nose bl;eeding, he used to pick his nos eoften. We tooke hime to a ENT doctor, the doctor said due to repeated picking of nose causes nose bleeding, nothing to worry about it. He also did some blood tests to know if there is any mistake with his bleeding and clotting mechanism, Thank god every thing was normal. It was such agreat relief. Now there is no bleeding

poor child he should have been disturbed a lot seeing the blood coming from his nose. I think you should see a Hematologist ( specialist in blood diseases ). Try to meet him he might help you.

this is common problem in children as they pick nose. this might be the cause.teach your child not to finger the nose. instead of thinking to remove the blood vessel

it is quite common with kids. if blood pressure is high and in blood if clotting problem is there than it is possible to have this kind of bleed. even in blood cancer they bleed. if no problem is found than doctors also say it is not possible to find out the cause. only thing learn how to live with the disease.

nose bleeding occured to my mom 3 years back....it was huge in quantity...we rushed to a doctor....he ordered few investigations ...we were shocked to see her reports as she was diagnosed to have blood cancer...and it is advanced stage and there is no cure for blood cancer ....,..only treatment is bone marrow transplant...and she is not fit for surgery as her age was 58 years.....
