Blister On Lower Leg, Looks Like Burn Injury. Applied Neosporin. Insect Bite Or Cactus Needle?
I noticed a blister like oval on my lower leg this morning. It looked like a burn injury, but clearly, I had not burned myself. This evening when I checked it after just putting Neosporin on it, there was a liquid in it, just a little, but when I pierced it, water-like liquid oozed out of it and now I have a burning pain but before had no pain at all. Could it be an insect bite or a cactus needle?
what kind of liquid did u observe? is it like pus or just like clear? any blood stained? and now is the blister fully ozzed out? get and tetanus injection and apply an antibiotic cream as you are using it

Blister On Lower Leg, Looks Like Burn Injury. Applied Neosporin. Insect Bite Or Cactus Needle?
Hi, You are right. It may be insect toxic dermatitis. There is bulla with infammation causing burning sensation. It might heal within few days. Take a short course of antibiotics. Take antihistaminics with short and tappering course of steroids. Apply antibiotic cream like sisomycine or nadifloxacin. There may develop crust as a part of healing. Then you will be cured. You will be alright. I hope you got my answer. Thanks. Dr. Ilyas Patel MD
