Blisters On Back, Chest And Arm. Stopped Taking Dapsone. Tested HIV. Could It Be Shingles?

My partner has small blisters on his back, chest and now running down his arm. He contacted his HIV doctor and was told to stop taking Dapsone, because he could be having an allergic reaction. They appear to be small fluid filled bumps. I know it is tough to say what it is, but I was wondering if it could be shingles, but he said he does not have any sharp pains.
