Blockage In Heart, Chest Pressure. Taking Medication. Does Stent Help In Reducing Chest Pressure?

My boyfriend has 50-70 % blockage of the LAD found on a Cat Scan of his heart. He does not get chest pressure with exercise. The doctor does not want to do anything as far as a stent; Should he??. He changed his amlodipine from 5 mg to 10, daily baby aspirin. and his diet has improved less high fat dairy foods. It has been 2 months, my boyfriend says he feels better but still has bouts of chest pressure and his complaint of just not feeling well. Does he need a stent to help the bouts of pressure?

Go for slow walking exercise daily and regularly.
He may go for swimming.
Avoid strenuous work and heavy exercise.
Quit alcohol or smoking if he is having habit of it.
Avoid stress.
