it has been about 3 weeks now, i feel i have to cough to be able to breath well. i don t have any other symptoms but my nose get blocked sometimes. i took zyrtec for 3 to 4 days, it only worked the first 2 days so i switched to Aerius, again it worked for the first day only. i am still taking Aerius and it is the forth day now. what could it be? and thank you in advance.
Since in addition to the coughing, you are also experiencing nasal congestion then it is most likely that your symptoms may be related to rhinosinusitis. This is inflammation of the nasal and sinus passages.
You may want to consider the use of a decongestant, this can be found combined with antihistamines such as clarinase, zytec d or allegra d .
This combination can be used with a topical nasal spray.
I hope this helps
