Blood Blister On Testicle After Groin Absorbed Pressure From Tire Explosion. Should I Be Concerned?

My husband is a machanic, yesterday he had a bus tire explode while squating in front tire. His groined absorbed the 90 pound of pressure. It caused him to stand an step back. He had pain at the time but faded with in an hour or so. He refused to go to the Dr. after the incident. Now he has a blood blister on his testicles the size of a pea. Is this something we should be worried about?

Hello and welcome to HCM,

Development of a blood blister after an impact is likely to be a hematoma.
Hematoma is collection of blood under the skin.
Blood collects in areas where the skin is loose, testicles being one of them.
Hematomas usually resolve spontaneously within 3-5 days.
They undergo a color change from red to blue to green to yellow.

If it does not resolve within that time, you can consult your doctor.

Thanks and take care
