Hi Lorrie, Welcome to HealthcareMagic Forum.
It falls Under High Blood Pressure category and it absolutely not good. Get yourself examined by a Cardiologist and he will be likely to take two to three blood pressure readings each at two or more separate appointments before diagnosing you with high blood pressure. This is because blood pressure normally varies throughout the day and sometimes specifically during visits to the doctor, due to anxiety, your Blood Pressure may be increased. You will require medications to control. Decrease the salt in your diet. Exercise regularly for an hour daily for 5 days a week and maintain a healthy weight. If you smoke and drink, QUIT. Avoid stress and practice relaxation techniques like Yoga and Meditation.
Wish you Good Health, Take Care.
