Blood Test Results Abnormal. What Do The Numbers Mean?
Hi. I am a 25 year old female and have received some abnormal blood results. I am 5 1 and 105lbs, non-smoker, do not drink, and exercise 3-4x per week. I was re-tested ( fasting ), as the first time it was non- fasting. Numbers went up on some tests even after fasting. I am not sure what all of the numbers mean and my OBGYN told me to go to a specialist and my PCP. AST/ALT 1st test - 40/62 2nd test - 396.6 LDL 1st test - 127 2nd test - 128 Cholesterol 1st test - 205 2nd test - 207 Hepatitis panel - Hepatitis B - negative HBsAG - negative Amylase , serum - 53 Lipase, serum - 22
Dear friend, welcome to HCM.
lipids like cholesterol are always done . 10 hours fasting.
your cholesterol is a bit high , but not scary. even fasting one. hepatitis B is negative and pancreatic enzymes are normal.
only ALT/AST repeat value is printed higgh. it seems to be a mistake on your/ lab part . it can not jump like this on fasting.
pl. reconfirm with the lab if you have not written them wrong here.
you may need to reduce your fatty diet.
pl. see your doc about the same.
take care ad revert if there is any problem.
Good luck !
