Blurred Vision, Blacking Out, Occurs After Standing Up After Lying Down For Long Time

Sometimes when I stand up (especially after having lied down and sat down for a large amount of time) my vision goes all blurry and almost blacks out. Sometimes this is worse than other times. I have fainted a few times and lost control completely of my sight by blacking out and not been able to speak either or hear what's going on around me. Recently this has been getting even worse than normal and happening more regularly. Help?!

Hello dear
Thanks for your query at HCM.
Blurred vision are common after standing from supine position this is because blood will pool in lower extrimities when you stand enough blood will not reach heart for some time while standing, at this time you will experience blurring.
If there is recurrence of the blurring an black out after standing , you should be evaluated further.
Investigation like blood pressure, ecg, and 2d echo will help in further diagnosis.
regards.
