Boil On Left Cheek, Pus Discharge, Severe Pain, Facial Swelling. Treatment?
I had a pimple on my left cheek for the past few days. Yesterday its started getting painful in the evening and i pressed the surrounding area a little hard. Then lots of pus came out of that area and it started paining very badly. Then today morning when i see my face, the left side of my face is totally swollen and the swell is has almost extended from my ears to jaws now. my cheek is almost triple the actual size! what do i do now!?

Thanks for writing to us.
By plucking and compressing the area without taking any asceptic precautions during the acute inflammatory phase you have allowed the infection to spread to the contiguous areas and resulting in diffuse local spread of inflammation .We call it by the term "Cellulitis".
Now you will have to be given a broad spectrum "Antibiotic"//Analgesic,Antipyretic//Proteolytic Enzyme//Hot fomentation//
It will take at least a weeks time to completely resolve.
In addition you must start the treatment along with baseline Blood /Urine Tests and Pus for Culture ASAP.

Hi ajay ! Relax ! Take diclofenac tab for pain, antibiotic ciprofloxacin tab twice a day for 3 day. Apply antibactericidal ct-bact cream. But ! But ! But ! If area is quite big and swollen, need to consult doctor. Get well soon.Bye.
