Breast Discharge During Periods. History Of Tubes Tied. Should I Be Concerned?

I started my period today. I am 32 and had my tubes tied 9 yrs ago. I noticed a huge wet spot on my shirt and went to change. I realized it is coming from my left breast. I have seen the stain on my bra once before a few months ago, but dimissed it as a baby oil stain because I didn't notice it till the bra was off and hanging up. Should I be concerned??

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
In women who have children & have had breast fed them this may sometimes occur. But, I think you should do at least two things, before taking it as normal. Go to a doctor, preferably a surgeon & get your breast examined for a hidden lump or any other problem. Secondly, check your serum prolactin level. As an increased production of this hormone may be associated with nipple discharge.
Wish you good health.
