Broken Front Teeth, Intense Lower And Upper Jaw Pain, White Gums. Any Suggestions?
I broke my 2 front teeth about 6 months ago and have not been able to afford to get them fixed yet and have take to drinking thru straws due to pain when any warm or cold liquid pass over these teeth. The last few days have noticed intense upper and lower jaw pain about 3 teeth back from the front. In the last day I have tried orajel and gotten releif for a while but today is not good! In a 3 hour span, I have used the orajel 4 times, still in intense pain so hit the net. Saw a couple of home remidies and tried a few. While brushing, felt good...tried brusing the areas in pain for several minutes with bakingsoda...then swishing and spitting them out. Followed by salt on the area, the swishing with warm water and spitting out. Finally swished area with peroxide and final rincing...whole procedure was about 20 mins. Looked at the gums after and around 3 teeth, the gums are white. Pain has gone down a bit but still in pain and now concerned about the white gums.....any suggestions?
hello and welcome,
since you had your front teeth fractured 6 months back, the tooth has infected and spread into periapical area.
there may be abscess formation at the root portion of teeth thus causing white gums.
visit your dentist and get the fractured teeth checked clinically.
an x-ray will help to rule out the condition of teeth.
root canal treatment and curettage will help to reduce the infection.
if the tooth cannot be saved,it has to be extracted and replaced with ceramic bridges.
after rct, crown has to be placed as there is chance of breakage of teeth.
take complete course of antibiotics prescribed by your dentist.
get your teeth cleaned.

Hello
Welcome to HCM
I went through your query & would like to tell you that your front teeth require root canal treatment before capping.Since your fracture tooth has involved pulp & its irreversible pulpitis.
It would be relieved only by RCT & capping.Get it started as soon as possible & meanwhile start with Diclomol thrice a day along with Novaclox-LB twice a day for three days.
Now regarding whitening of gums i would like to tell you that it was because of hydrogen peroxide.
Whenever we use hydrogen peroxide, we always protect our gums either by rubber dam or by applying vaseline because hydrogen peroxide damages mucosa.
Don't worry it will be fine apply orajel that you have & just do warm saline rinses.
Start your treatment as early as possible.
Take Care

You can gargle with warm water with salt. Visit a dentist for proper diagnosis and treatment plan according to it. Regards.
