Bronchoscopy Showing Normal Report. Diagnosed With Bronchomalacia. Shortness Of Breath. Any Suggestions?
After a bronchoscopy in February of 2013, my doctor said some secretions/no infection. I had to have another in March of 2013 and he told me I have bronchomalacia and there is no treatment/no cure, to continue my updrafts (which don't seem to help), and said that he didn't recommend stents, they wouldn't be of help. Could bronchomalacia have developed this quickly? I seem to be getting worse with more shortness of breath.
Dear, As per the history you have given and the clinical findings you may be suffering with bronchomalacia but some how the cases are very rare . Kindly get the pulmonary function test done to rule out chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. get the test done to rule out Motor neurone disease. this is fast progressive disease. I would suggest you to consult the Specialist if you don’t get relief as on examination the findings may be different and line of treatment may have to be changed.
