Bruise On The Inner Part Of Thigh Due To Horse Kick. How Long Will It Heal ?
I got kicked by a horse a week and a 1/2 ago on the inner side of my right knee . Other than a bad bruise I was fine. The bruise is healing well, but the inner part of the bruise is hard. The hard area is about 3 inches long and inch wide. Is this normal. The original bruise was as large as a man s hand spread wide open.

The hard area of bruise which your mentioning is most probably a haematoma(collection of blood in muscle or skin).This haematoma is quite big (3 X1 inches).One and half week time is normal for such a big haematoma to get resolved.Hopefully it will get completly resolved in a week time.

There may be possibility of formation of hematoma on the inner aspect of right knee and thigh.
Presence of hard large mass suggests the diagnosis.
You should consult with general surgeon/ internal medicine specialist and should go for thorough check up.
Bruise generally take 10-14 days for complete recovery.
Hematoma may take longer duration depending on the size.
As you have already defined that present size is less than the size on the day of injury.
You can apply thrombophob ointment for faster recovery.
