Dear Concerned.,

Thanks for writing to us.

Immediately after a dog bite, you should have washed the wound with a disinfectant soap and water leave it open without any dressing.

Secondly take a shot of Tetanus Toxoid immediately to be immunised against tetanus.

Thirdly Start Antirabis Vaccine or ARV dosage .

In India it is sold as Rabipur//Verorab//Abhayrab etc.It is administered by Intramuscular doseage,

0-day on the day of bite,then 03 day,07 day,14 day,and 28 day.

As decided by your MD ,the dosage can vary depending on degree of dog bite. If the bite is on the neck//upper limb full course will have to be completed.
In addition analgesics//antibiotics //antacids can be prescribed as adjuvant therapy.

Wish you a speedy recovery.

Best regards.,
