Bump Near Labia Majora. Open Wound. What Is Going On?

Hello. I ll try to explain my symptoms.. A bump formed on skin between my labia majora and my right thigh (so in other words, it s right where my underwear lining hits my skin). At first it was a bump that I probably shouldn t have popped, but I did. It turned into an open wound if you will.. After a few weeks of letting it scab over, it was beginning to heal. The best way I can describe it is like when you pick at a zit on your face..it has to scab over and heal up. That s exactly what happened..except for all of a sudden it started to turn into a bump. Now when I say bump...I mean it s not HUGE or anything, but it s visible. At first I just assumed it was a scar or something (I don t know..skin heals weird sometimes). Then once I started to wear underwear normally and work out on a daily basis again, I noticed it got irritated from my underwear lining. I ve tried putting a bandaid on it but that just irritates my skin. The crazy part about it, too, is that one side of this bump never fully healed. It s as if it s still open. It s been this way for about 2 years now. 2 years ago I was too nervous to go to the doctor for it because I would have to explain it to my parents, still being under their insurance and all. Now I have an appointment coming up and I d like to at least get a sense of what it is I have going on... at least maybe brace myself for whatever it is that I find out when I go to my appointment.
