Bump On Head, Painful, Swollen Forehead. Sinus Pressure. Causing Swelling?
Hi I have a bump on my head (like a cystic pimple ) and last week it started to hurt a little and then the forehead became swollen. The following day, the swelling spread to nose and a bit to the eye area. Since I felt some sinus pressure (no runny nose, just some pressure), I took some over the counter sinus medicine. After second time I took it, the swelling improved and after third or fourth time, it totally went away. Now only the bump is a bit swollen, as if there is liquid there. Could the sinus pressure have caused the swelling and irritation of bump?
First of all let me complement you on your technical and medical knowledge! you seem to know a lot of things which makes our jobs easier most of the times! Just a few more things: 1. If your symptoms are persisting and you do not have much relief then you must either go for a stronger antibiotic and pain killer along with anti histamines and anti infllamatory or consider starting injectables for better and faster relief 2. You need to consult an ENT who will anyway take a endoscopy and CT to confirm on the swelling or the bump on your head which you rightly assumed can be due to the sinusitis. 3. Take steam inhalation for faster relief of symptoms and take only warm fluids and nothing cold (avoid head bath for a few days too)
take care and do not worry
