Bump On The Forehead Between Eyebrow And Hairline, Seems To Be Hurting And Growing. What Could It Be?
Hi, i have a bump on my forehead , halfway between my right eyebrow and my hair line. It has been there for a few months, never growing in size. I could never visibly see it, just feel it beneath the skin. Over the past two days it has started to hurt and is growing in size. It is not red, and doesn t look like a pimple or a cyst - it looks as if it hit my head on something although i didnt?
hi ..thanks for your query.
The bump that you mention may be any kind of soft tissue swelling ,some of the common one being sebaceous cysts/ neurofibromas/ lipomas. These are benign growths and present over a period of time in the body .However ,a cyst ,for example may be infected and cause symptoms like tenderness/ swelling/ redness etc..
Please undergo a complete evaluation for the growth with a dermatologist. In case you want to remove it, there are simple procedures for the same.however the exact outcome of the surgery in terms of the scars being left etc can be commented on only after seeing the size and other features of the growth.
Hope this helps..Take care!
