Bump Over Mastoid, Constant Pain Behind Ear, Blurred Vision, Headaches. Related Symptoms?

Hi, I have a bump that has been over my mastoid bone for 9 months now. I recieved a CT scan and they said there may be a mass so soon i will be having an MRI . I have constant pain behind the ear and ever since the bump appeared I get horrible on the left side of my head (the same side of the bump) and the vision in my left eye gets blurry. Are these related? and What could the bump be?

Hello and welcome to HCM

A mass over mastoid can occur due to many reasons- mastoiditis (inflammation of the mastoid air cells), growth of the mastoid bone, tumor of ear extending into the mastoid, underluing pathology of temporal lobe of the brain to name a few.
Since, it is associated with local pain, eye symptoms and headache a more extensive pathology is suspected- something concerning the brain parenchyma.
However, it can only be acertained by MRI.
Get the investigation done and your treating doctor will guide further.

Wish you good health
